I chose to come to Animas High School for the Hands-on learning and the small school comunity. I have gone to a small school for my entire educational career, and I went to Mountain Middle school which had a more hands-on learning style. I really enjoyed the projects there. I was also not interested in going from classes of 60 kids total to a  Freshman class of 300. Not fun! At Animas, there is a nice culture, and with an entire student population of about 250, it is hard not to know and recognize everyone and be able to call them by name. That is the environment I saught in a school.
